The Fascinating Art of Glassblowing...
Biot, a charming village on the French Riviera, captivates visitors with its authenticity, artistic heritage, and natural beauty. Located just a few kilometers from the Mediterranean, this perched town offers a blend of history, craftsmanship, and picturesque landscapes.
The heart of the village takes you on a journey through time with its cobblestone streets, stone houses, and ancient doorways.
Biot thrives to the rhythm of exhibitions that highlight the village’s rich cultural heritage and take visitors on a journey through its history.
The three must-see museums in Biot are the Fernand Léger National Museum, the Glass Ecomuseum (Verrerie de Biot), and the Museum of Biot History and Ceramics.
The only museum in the world dedicated to Fernand Léger, it is located in his former villa, Mas Saint-André, at the foot of the old village. Open since 1960, the museum houses a collection of 300 to 400 works, including paintings, drawings, ceramics, sculptures, and mosaics.
The building, designed by André Svetchine, stands out with its mosaic-covered façade — originally intended
for an unrealized stadium project in Hanover — and two later extensions (1987 and 2004) featuring contemporary artworks and enhanced natural lighting.

Every year in early April, the town of Biot invites you on a journey to the heart of the Middle Ages, to meet the Templars.
Groups from all over Europe passionately recreate life in the 13th century through encampments, costumes, battles, and parades.
Throughout the weekend, activities, workshops, and demonstrations punctuate the event: weapons handling, chainmail making, and even coin minting.

In the kitchen, chef Michaël Fulci — trained by Roger Vergé and Alain Ducasse — offers refined Mediterranean cuisine, rich in local ingredients such as fruits, vegetables, fish, and truffles, combining finesse, creativity, and a deep respect for the region’s culinary heritage.
